The deadline will cover the fact-finding of possible irregularities and not the prosecution of cases, Justice Secretary Alberto Agra told a press briefing at the office of the Commission on Elections (Comelec).

Agra and Philippine National Police (PNP) Deputy Director Gen. Edgardo Acuna, were invited to a Comelec meeting on Wednesday to lay down the frameworks of their investigation.dstt card

This came following various allegations that Philippines' first automated vote counting poll was rigged. Among the issues that will be looked into is whether a local bet will be held liable after she was found to bedstt cardin possession of a compact flash cards used in the automated poll.

The Justice department will also look into the alleged taped conversation supposedly involving the Comelec Commissioner and head of Department of Interior and Local Government who were allegedly discussing the manipulation of the May 10 poll.

Both officials denied the allegations.

PNP meanwhile will look into the discovery of 67 precinct count optical scan machines in the residence of a technician of Smartmatic-Total Information Management Corp.,dstt cardthe private firm that provided the machines used in the election.
