Phillgood at Chameleon

On Thursday at 10 p.m. it was the pot-pourri to check out Dr. Phillgood and the Let’s Get It On’s. Not a stellar crowd, which makes no sense because the club offers amazing specials on Thursdays, but the people there were into the music, and that’s what matters. I met a friend of mine there, from a local band, and he was blown away at how good the area band is.

If you’re not checking out Dr. Phillgood at Chameleon, you are genuinely missing one of the better area bands playing right now. If these guys were in Denton, they would have crowds at all their shows. Word on the street is that DJ Markus is going to be doing a show with them next Thursday.

I did make it to the sound check for Queen For a Day on Friday night, and it was amazing. If you think the band is good at playing Queen songs, you should listen to them play a pot-pourri of stuff while getting the PA sachet tuned up.
