Apple's First iPad Commercial Stresses Ease Of UseApple's First iPad Commercial Stresses Ease Of UseApple (NSDQ:AAPL) aired its first iPad advertisementTraffic barriersduring the 2010 Academy Awards Sunday night in an effort to show the multiple capabilities of the device,Military Flags, which is slated for launch next month.The ad #xshows the ease with which iPad users can write e-mails on the device's large touch enabled keyboard, and also shows users downloading movies and music, uploading and viewing photos, searching the web and reading news.Both Apple's new e-book platform. and The New York Times are heavily featured throughout the commercial, which uses the tune 'There Goes My Love' by The Blue Van as background music.Apple's Web site calls the iPad "a magical and revolutionary product at an unbelievable price." Wall Street analysts predict Apple will sell anywhere between 4 million and 5 million units this year.On April 3, Apple will launch a Wi-Fi-only edition of the iPadTraffic barriersthat comes in 16GB, 32GB and 64GB models. The more expensive 3G/Wi-Fi model, which starts at $629, won't be released until late April.The iPad will launch with two data plans from AT&T (NYSE:T): one will have a month data cap of 250GB a month for $14.99, the other with unlimited data for $29.99. Both will include free use of AT&T hotspots.Similar to the iPhone, the new iPad features a multi-touch screen that can be viewed either vertically or horizontally just by turning it in your hands. The iPad's central processor is in-house hardware, presumably from its P.A. Semi-subsidiary, a 1GHz fourth-generation ARM-based chip. The iPad has 10 hours of battery life, it's half an inch thin and weighs 1.5 pounds.Critics have attacked the iPad#x for its lack of a built-in Webcam, Flash support, HDMI and GPS capabilities.
