I haven’t been updating my blog for a while. Come to think of it,排污泵, I have stayed in Shanghai for over a year already. During this time, I’ve met many professionals in Shanghai video game industry, both local Chinese veterans and expat elites. In the fall of 2008, I had the pleasure of knowing people from Crytek GmbH, an established German video game company.(They developed CryEngine, and made games such as FarCry and Crysis series). I translated their official website to Chinese (http://www.cryengine2.com/?langid=3) ,and also helped them as real-time translator at their tech-demo booth during Chinajoy. Hopefully in future, Chinese local game company can use their engine at an affordable price. It would also be nice for Crytek to develop a game engine specifically geared towards online games.
