And although he seems to have opened up a little lately, answeringmacdvd rippere-mail messages from Apple devotees with one word e-mail replies, on Thursday, he shared 1,700 words in a post on Apple’s site. The post, “Thoughts on Flash,” addresses the debate over why the iPad — and other mobile Apple products — do not allow the use of the multimedia software Adobe Flash, which is behind millions of graphics and advertisements on Web sites worldwide.Mr. Jobs doesn’t like Flash. And in a nutshell he explains why: he says it’s proprietary, unreliable and not secure, and its performance drains battery life.First, Mr. Jobs says that “Adobe’s Flash products are 100 percent proprietary.” He says they are “from Adobe, and Adobe has sole authority as to their future enhancement, pricing, etc.” At Apple, Mr. Jobs writes, “We strongly believe that all standards pertaining to themac dvd ripperweb should be open.”Mr. Jobs admits that Apple has proprietary products too, specifically pointing to its iPhone, iPod and iPad operating system. But despite this, he writes, Apple supports open standards on the Web, including HTML5, CSS and JavaScript.Next up, Mr. Jobs points to the security problems associated with Flash that were highlighted in a 2009 report released by Symantec, the antivirus software company. He also writes that “Flash is the No. 1 reason Macs crash,” which developers also complain about.Mr. Jobs also outlines battery life problems that Flash video causes on Apple-related devices. When playing Flash video versus the latest H.264 standard, he says, “The difference is striking: on an iPhone, for example, H.264 videos play for up to 10 hours, whilemacdvd rippervideos decoded in software play #xfor less than 5 hours before the battery is fully drained.”相关的主题文章：
